A desire full of questions.

This is not what I'm searching for. Written on 24-06-2011 by Verna

A poem about someone who’s searching for his beloved. He hopes to find the love of the other person, but this person seems to pay no attention to him.

The poem written below was inspired by all those times that love wasn’t mutual. It can be that one person wants to give love, but that the other doesn’t receive it. You can try to catch someone’s attention by giving several signals. A clear, simple question is often the easiest way to get certainty. On the other hand, these questions are the most difficult ones to ask. After all, then you have to show your true feelings.

Poetry is the ability to give words to that desire and the doubt. One of the best medicines for the desire and doubt is to write your emotions down.

When I speak to you,
or when you text me,
the words make me feel
the warmth the best.

You know how to touch me
you give me energy.
I'm totally addicted,
but what about you?

I look into your eyes,
when will you catch my glance?
Do you even look at me,
or do just let me be?

Your eyes look away,
they leave me alone.
How intense my look may be,
you can be so cruel!

What should I do with you?
What should I do?
Why do I want you,
why do I get out of control?
Why, what and where, the answer is unknown,
but I know you are the one answer to all those questions.

Because I love your eyes,
the things you think and do,
over and over again this thought comes in my head:
that darling is so true.

I'll try it one more time,
just one time, with a question,
my hope is on your trust,
on your answer, today.

Do you want to be we, together with me?
Do you want to come with me?
Make love to me, so many times,
why have you never done that yet?
